The psychic:

It remains writer/director lucio fulci’s ultimate giallo masterpiece: Jennifer o’neill (scanners) stars as a woman tormented by violent visions of past slayings. Or are they premonitions of murders still to come? Gabriele ferzetti (the night porter), marc porel (the sister of ursula), gianni garko (night of the devils) and evelyn stewart (footprints) co-star in this “rare, rewarding experience” (the geek show) co-written by fulci, roberto gianviti (don’t torture a duckling) and dardano sacchetti (the beyond) – originally titled murder to the tune of the seven black notes – now scanned in 4k from the original negative with over five hours of new special features that include the 2021 documentary fulci talks.

Yes!!! Hopefully they manage to fix the audio issues from the Scorpion edition. Now, that we know they have some previously released Scorpion titles, bring out Opera!!!

Same here. I have the sealed slipcover on the Scorpion release and am feeling dumb for not watching it yet. Not sure whether I should crack it open to check it out before upgrading, or just sell it sealed for the extra cash and upgrade blindly.

Holy Crap! Fantastic news. Love this flick. I just watched the blu ray again a couple of weeks ago, and spent much of that time pondering how fantastic this would look in 4k uhd. Check another “Fulci Most Wanted in 4k” title off my wish list! Truly excellent.

I do consider The Psychic to be top-shelf Fulci, so this is a pretty significant 4k development.

Throw in Don't Torture a Duckling, A Lizard in a Woman's Skin and Murder Rock. The Scorpion disc of Murder Rock seems to be oop like The Psychic, so maybe VS or Severin snapped up the 4k rights and we'll see it soon.
