Paramount/Showtime will be releasing Season One of The Man Who Fell to Earth on January 10th. It co-stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Naomie Harris, and originally aired on Showtime. Despite a strong reception, the series was not renewed for a second season.

Synopsis
An alien (Chiwetel Ejiofor) crashes deep into the oilfields of New Mexico with a mission: he must find the brilliant scientist Justin Falls (Naomie Harris), the one woman on earth who can help save his species. An unlikely duo, together they discover that in order to save his world, they must first save ours. An inspired continuation of the novel by Walter Tevis and the iconic 1976 film starring David Bowie. This 3-disc collection includes all 10 episodes plus featurettes and deleted scenes!

So,why the hell is this and Players getting a pressed disc release and Evil is getting BD-R?!

Knowing Paramount, it shows it's pressed but will probably end up being BD-R.

Weird that Paramount is calling it "season one" considering it was only planned to be one season that could have continued if they wanted... and then cancelled. If they needed to distinguish it from the film, just call it "The Limited Series" or something.

Wow, surprised this is getting a BD release! I enjoyed the series, so might pick this up for the right price.

I just bit the bullet and ordered from Movies Unlimited with their current 20% coupon, so I can check when it arrives (if no one else beats me to it).

My copy arrived yesterday and I just tried it on my region-free player. No issues playing when set to A, B, or C, so it seems to be region-free.

The situation on this series here in Germany is weird. So far, there's no disc release in sight, and for whatever reason, it was pulled from Paramount + here a few days ago... And actually I intended to get the streaming service just for this series...

Doesn't matter anymore... ordered...
