It seems like a lot of blockbusters have directors in the 20-50 year age bracket. Can anyone figure out the statistics for the top grossing films of all time sorted by oldest director ?
I'm guessing that someone like Clint Eastwood, John Huston, John Boorman, or Richard Donner may be in the list? |

Besides the aforementioned De Mille, in recent times I'd mention Prometheus (Ridley Scott was over 70 when he made it) and American Sniper (Eastwood was over 80 then).
