Can anyone comment on the 3D in this one? How's the depth(I hope it's not conservative)? Is there pop between the layers and does anything stick out of the screen? Any pop out moments?

Some people have watched the trailer in 3D at Wondercon and AMC.

Trailer WAS Awesome, IMHO! And that was on a 25" Monitor; gonna up it with my Panny(s) when I figure out the capture.

REQ: Link to free proggy that will convert *.MOV to *.AVI specifically using this Prometheus Trailer *.mov

Tried 3 and all said the file wouldn't load\was corrupt but plays beautifully on my laptop

Saw the trailer at the theater, they played it in 2D before a 3D movie which makes me think they don't have a 3D version of the trailer out yet. The trailer doesn't show much, but it's enough to get me fired up about it (I was really looking forward to it anyway).

Actually, there are two 3D trailers. I saw the first one at the theater with the Nick Cage Ghost Rider movie. I watched the new 3D trailer at Wondercon last Saturday. See the Prometheus movie trailer thread for my comments and those of someone who saw the trailer in 3D at the AMC presentation which was last Saturday after Wondercon.

My biggest concern is for the R rated version to be in 3D on Blu-ray if it doesn't turn out to be the R version to be released theatrically. From what I know nearly all extended versions of 3D movies have only been available in 2D and it would be very disappointing to have to sacrifice 3D in order to watch the R rated version which will probably be the preferred version.

The new trailer is Awesome. The only thing that I am worrying about is it will be in the dark a lot so not sure how the 3D will be.

The IMAX 3-D trailer version C really shows great death and good placement of some popout 3-D. But,!don't go by the trailer, as always will be exaggerated. We have to wait for the movie to come out. I can not share the IMAX DCP 4K 3D trailer, its encrypted.

Yes. I saw the 3D Trailer of Prometheus at a Cinemark theater as it played right before John Carter 3D began. Avengers 3D also played. I'd say the 3D in Prometheus was on par with Avengers 3D. Nothing spectacular, but really well done IMO, Hugo 3D being one example of being one of the strongest 3D efforts so far for live action.

This movie definitely has an Alien vibe. I didn't do research as I wrote in another thread, is it related? Ridley Scott director.

Good point. Pirates Tides 3d trailer looked strong, but not the movie's 3d, which is average it seems.

I saw the Imax trailer in 3d as well. Really impressive. It reminded me of Avatar's 3d at times, which is a big compliment
