I don't like it either way. It looks like any other modern photoshop job with additional *swoosh* lines from Billy! That's my unsolicited opinion, but I'm glad it's getting a release.

It's actually one of the original movie posters (released in France).
And it's also the cover of my French DVD (which was originally released in 2001).



Imo it's the best movie poster of that movie.

There are lines indicating the cube is moving, like with a *swoosh* noise. It is as if a little kid drew it, like "Billy" or "Jimmy" or "Timmy."

I didn't realize that was the original poster art. They would have benefited from new artwork.

I don't see what you are seeing. The only lines I see look to me like marks on one of the inner cubes.

If they were meant to show movement of the outer cube, they would connect to the outer cube. But they don't. They stop right at the edge of that inner cube and look like marks because of that.

They would have benefited from new artwork.

I fully disagree.

They used that image on the Korean lenticular slip, the little cube pops out of the main surface with the lenticular effect.

It could have been worse: they could have used the old DVD artwork, complete with logos, text and everything.

This has a nice, clean minimalist feel to it.
