I'm definitely interested after playing the remake demo on PS4 not long ago and finding it to be a fun experience and a very in depth, extensive free demo compared to my expectations. I didn't buy the full game yet as I had purchased a ton of other games I had to get through to complete and still have in my list. But I'll consider this new one for sure.
The abilities of telekinesis are fun, along with the Alien's powers. There are some humorous situations to keep the story light. This is surprising to hear they were planning a new remake. |

![]() Digital version, they're including a bonus game, regularly 12.99 that lets you play in several maps to destroy the bad guys. They said the maps are much larger than the original game. That's cool. Playing the PS4 demo again, I'll get this on release date, which is August 30, 2022, next Tuesday. Till September 1st, the PS2 version of DAH2 is 3.99 digitally on PS store. PS5: Destroy All Humans 2 ReProbed - Full game $39.99 8/30/2022 Explore 1960's Mother Earth Defend a much larger, much more open world Enjoy the full story in local 2-player split screen co-op All Crypto skins from the first game and more included Having played the PS4 Destroy All Humans, the gameplay is fun and creative with all the different weapons, telekinesis, the jet pack, UFO ship that destroys with weapons, ability to control humans, open maps to explore, etc. I haven't played the PS2 versions way back when. |

Bump thread. Destroy All Humans 2 is a PS5 specific only game, no PS4 version, that was released today for 39.99. Great art/visuals/graphics. 4K 60 fps it looks like.
I've spent 2 hours so far, and it's cool. 1st hour, you're restricted to a limited area of the city per mission, and if you try to leave the zone it'll restart the mission. 2nd hour, I was set free to explore the whole map, which is really cool with Crypto's flight, gliding, "skateboard" hover, weapons and ability to possess and become any character you see on foot. When you are someone else, a 2 minute timer counts down till you lose control, but just take the character to a hidden spot where others can't see, depossess them, then immediately repossess them and the timer restarts with the same character. Looking forward to playing more later. 8/10 game so far. Great visuals for PS5. |

I'm split on this one.
On the one hand, I'm excited for it. But on the other, it's another remake. :-/ Why not make a brand new DAH game instead? Rockstar is also going to release a remake of Max Payne 1 and 2 so they're yet again going to milk one of their franchises, yet they've stated MP3 is where the story ended. Remake just everything is that it? I guess it's cheaper for them, but disappointing for me. |

But yeah, I would've preferred to see a new game, even though this is an entirely new experience for me as a new fan of the franchise. The humor is sometimes funny, but other times not. Thankfully the gameplay is good, though it does remind me of the Infamous games in a few ways. Like skating on energy to get around fast, being able to fly and glide, but since this came first, maybe Infamous was inspired by Destroy All Humans. I'm on the mission with a giant Godzilla monster attacking Japan. The graphics are excellent, mostly 60 fps, 4K, but the screen tears every often until they get an update to fix it. The game crashes sometimes. The UFO is accessible at any time when not on a mission. Crypto can free roam and do anything including destroy stuff when not on missions. San Francisco: Good sized map to explore, and you can go across the giant red bridge. London: You can go across the bridge to the other side, and a big city. Japan: Biggest map in the game so far. Islands, city, classic Japan temples, Ninjas, towns, etc. 2 more maps to unlock and explore. Normally, a game like this would only have one open world map of the size of Japan, but this goes overboard with 5 open world maps. Different times of day depending on the mission, and when revisiting whenever you want from the saucer's world map to load from. Controls are solid, no issues. Upgrades are effective. The lightning gun is my favorite. Then the fireball gun. The meteor strike is cool. Taking control of other characters is a neat feature too. |

I have the first game for the PS2 from waaaaay back, but I don't recall why I never finished it. Naturally I never played DAH2 either, so this is going to be my first experience with the story in 2. Have they changed the story much at all?

I'm on the Russia winter map, and it's a large scale map with a small city, a couple towns, rural back roads and the freedom to wander through some good sized forests. Crypto's path on the snow is cool to see. This game is a lot like the abilities of Infamous or Force Unleashed. You can power up your telekinesis on foot to destroy trucks and cars and tanks. The Saucer has a much better view than the first remake game, which I also have. This is definitely a much more refined and improved game than Destroy All Humans Remake IMO, and the maps are considerably larger. Looks and plays great on PS5 despite some flaws here and there with some missions. The story is the same probably, as they used the same dialog/voices. 8/10 game IMO. It can be tough at times but manageable against many enemies firing at Crypto or his saucer. The Saucer missions tend to be tougher I feel. I have probably 16 hours invested in the game and still have 2 maps to complete. The last map is on the moon I think. 5 open world maps: -San Francisco -London -Japan (really big map) -Russia (really big map) -Moon (haven't unlocked it yet) |

https://www.reddit.com/r/DestroyAllH...e_geforce_now/ They probably wanted to bring both of the old games to current gen first before creating a new entry. Makes it easier for new fans to jump in. |

I unlocked all of the maps in the PS5 sequel. Really nice maps but the Tokyo map is the best IMO, with the most variety visually including a separate island from the main city island. The last map on the moon is interesting.
The games aren't giant, but a good size to explore and test out Crypto's powers. It was a generally fun game with clever ideas. I like it better than the first one. I hope there is a 3rd. |
