Not really, the Arrow's got a FiM encode basically perfection. No need to grab this unless you don't care about that or just want it for completion sake.

Ummmmmm, Criterion are literally the best and Videodrome ain't worth owning unless there's a big C on the front cover??? Not a good look, my guy. Do better.

Arrow's release includes 2 cuts too, correct? This looks to just be one. I wonder if they're licensing the restoration from Arrow? I recall Arrow saying they wouldn't license it to Criterion, and if Criterion wanted to do a 4K, they'd have to do their own restoration.

Criterion tracing fedelity's footsteps is a weird trend. Mulholland Dr, Time Bandits, Don't Look Now, Videodrome..

I guess some people don't consider imports so to get this for $25 on sale isn't a bad option

No reason for me to get this although I always preferred the packaging on this one but I already have the Blu-ray so I'm gonna pass. I can't see this one coming close to the perfection that is the Arrow release.

Criterion released Mulholland Dr. on 4K before anyone else did. They also announced Time Bandits before Arrow did as well.

Looks like this will just have the Director’s Cut.

It’ll be pretty crazy if this is a different restoration…I’d be curious about the differences.
