LOL, was actually going to get Vanilla Sky too, but may wait now. It's not too bad now though, as you can currently get them for only $2.50 (in batches of 10) with DVD-to-digital, but still! I think now Vanilla Sky has a pretty good shot for Blu!

so dark and twisted, yet real and for me, relatable.

I don't think that any Paramount or WB titles are region-locked, are they?

Not many: Braveheart (Sapphire Series) was logged.
But 99% of the Paramout titel are region free.

I can't say for sure, but I'd imagine the listings here are incorrect. I really doubt WB reauthored the disc for a value pack release.

My fear exactly, sir. That review has stopped me from pulling the trigger on "upgrading" my DVD ... several times now.

At the very least, get it for the lossless sound. Look at how cheap it is...

I found the transfer and audio to be very serviceable. Its definitely worth owning as I doubt we'll ever get a remaster for this.

I watched this tonight. Decent transfer. But this would definitely benefit from a remaster or being part of the Paramount Presents line. Would love to see the alternate ending with Gere and Garcia going through a window (it's in one of the trailers). The current Blu-ray has no special features.

This film still holds up. Garcia's intensity and Gere's charisma masking corruption make for compelling viewing.

I agree. Very underrated thriller

I love this movie. I’d go as far as to say it’s Gere’s finest hour. This movie deserves a special edition treatment. I’m pretty sure there is an alternate ending filmed for this

Yes, I agree. Definitely Gere's finest. Although 'Unfaithful' with Diane Lane was great too. Another underrated Gere masterpiece.

For me it's a tie between this and Primal Fear. Gere is one of my favorite actors but those two films are his best performances IMO.
