I loved The Flinstones cartoons growing up, and even enjoyed the 1995 live-action film, starring John Goodman and Elizabeth Perkins. But I avoided the Viva Rock Vegas prequel, being told by others it wasn't very good.

So, if this new movie is faithful to the cartoons, I'll probably go to see it.

So why not do another origin story but make it better and animated?
