Default TV without auto dimming recommendation?

I've had a Panasonic Plasma that I've seriously loved for the last 10+ years but it feels like it's time to finally upgrade to a higher resolution... Looking into it, an OLED would seem to be the best modern replacement for me - but I'm very sensitive to auto dimming - and it looks like that's a feature that's essentially impossible to completely turn off on all OLEDs regardless of the brand...

Can anyone recommend me something *without* impossible to turn off auto dimming? I've loved the deep blacks of my Plasma and understand I probably won't reach that without an OLED, but any insight into a suitable replacement would be much appreciated!

Also feel free to enlighten me if I'm off the mark here. Thanks

Apparently, Sony OLED 2019 models and later, and LG OLED beginning with 2023 models suit your need.

I have no firsthand experience with, so you need to followup and confirm.

Good luck.

All OLEDs have some dimming as both a protection feature and power limitation, it often gets lumped into one but it's actually a small collection. ABL, ASBL/TPC, etc. I get confused too.

I could see it working at times on my LG B8, sometimes affecting a movie where it was a long dark scene. My newer Sony A95k on the other hand does it practically invisibly. Their heatsink has been credited with that especially in regards to ASBL, which means it's far less aggressive.

If 2023 LG OLEDs are now doing similar, that's great.
