Default Video Cards in 09?

Hey, I was wondering if anyone has heard any news about new video cards from ATI coming out in 09 that would be better than the Radeon 4870x2, because i was thinking of getting one.

Well, CES came and went. With the video card industry it's awkward. NVidia and AMD both only really like announcing their cards just before they begin to enter the channel.

I wouldn't be surprised though if they delayed pushing out the next high end card a bit more [the difference between the 295 or 285 and the ATI's equivilant isn't that 'significant' still].

Course, with AMD, alot of stuff depends on the Foundry Company push, so hard to say .

Well, I decided to get the 4850x2 because it was alot cheaper and will hold me over until some new high end cards come out. Can't wait to get this baby. Hopefully nothing is announced in the next few months lol.

I have a 4850 right now. I am selling it to my friend when my 4850x2 arrives. I heard the 4850x2 is really good, better than the 4870 1GB and it was only a little bit more expensive. I also have to replace my computer power supply it's only 450 watts and I need 650. Kind of a pain but oh well.

I have the ASUS GTX295 and love it. The only game I cannot play yet because of software issues is GTAIV it does not support SLI. i was emailed by a tech from Rockstar and he said they are working on a patch to enable SLI.
