Fast & Furious spins off

The “Fast and Furious” franchise may take a page from “Star Wars” and Marvel. Producer and star Vin Diesel tells Variety that the team behind the fast cars and criminals series is in the preliminary stages of developing prequels and spinoffs.

I did like the "Han Prequel" that was an MTV film, it seems like there's plenty they could do in this universe.

Nope. The Rock IS the franchise.

Quite honestly, until Paul Walker died, I didn't know who he was and that he had been in the F&F movies, he's that much of a wooden stick nonentity as an actor. I guess in the first one he's the "lead" but the first four are almost completely forgettable, and all I can recall from his character in the first one is that he is generic-looking lead with no presence.

You know, now that I think about it, 2 Fast 2 Furious kinda implied that Verone could come back. And I'd imagine he'd want to get some revenge on the 2 that got in his way the first time. Sadly Walker isn't around but there's still Tyrese.

There was a spin-off already - it was called Tokyo Drift.

So spin-off basically means "let's do a Fast & Furious movie without Vin Diesel because he's too expensive and complicated."

I wouldnt mind seeing a spin-off revolving around the Ronda Rousey security guard.
