At least I can upgrade from DVD and complete the trilogy. Just wish this would come with a slip to match the first two better.

Hoping this carries over the special features from the DVD.

Hopefully it's using the new 4K transfer.

I remember hating this film when I rented it when it was released, but it's been so long, and the timing adds up with "I Still know..." that I'll probably end up getting this to revisit/collecting OCD.

I remember first seeing a copy of this, on a shelf at a used-video store in my hometown of Dallas. I recall thinking back then, "They made one of these without Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze, Jr., or Muse Wtason - how is that supposed to work?"

That question is still my stance today, since I never bothered to see the film. It seemed like a cheap knockoff of the first two.

It does the job though as a fun slasher. Best to put the first two out of your mind when watching and just enjoy it on its own terms. I've always liked it, particularly the setting and the leading lady Brooke Nevin. It just goes massively off the rails when
[Show spoiler]it becomes supernatural right at the end.

Might get this for completion's sake (and Sony's tempting us with that matching cover art), and you know this will never see UHD. Hopefully it's not as bad as Creepshow III.

I wonder if Sony will release the short-lived TV series adaptation from 2021, even on DVD. Yeah it was on Prime, but it was still produced by Sony.

I seems to be impossible to have a thread without someone mentioning Abyss and True Lies

it's a shame it doesn't have the second commentary from the 88films release cause the director commentary is a bit like the film bad he needed someone to bounce off on.

That only happens when bad catalog titles get a Blu-ray release first over them.

I can't believe James Cameron prioritized releasing I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer on blu ray over The Abyss and True Lies!
