![]() ![]() The Arti: The Adventure Begins 3D Blu-ray ![]() ![]() I did a search and nothing came up, I didn't see this on the Region A/B/C import list either so I figured I'd start a thread as we don't have a lot of new releases to talk about these days This is an interesting one as it was released in 3D in theaters at festivals (like at Fantasia Fest), but only had one blu ray release worldwide, that being in Taiwan. I've come to learn the Taiwan release has both 3D and 2D on the Blu Ray disc even though there is no 3D logo anywhere on the slipcover, box or disc itself. It's almost like they tried to hide the fact there's a 3D option, so I took a photo on my IPHONE of the main screen. It's blurry because it defaults to a 3D menu on my projector; ![]() The slipcover is lenticular and very impressive, the entire front from edge to edge is lenticular. It came with a few art cards and a sticker that was on top of the shrink wrap but under saran wrap, so essentially like a double shrink wrap. The Taiwanese sites are sold out but YesAsia still had it so I grabbed one. It took about 7 weeks to get here as it took YesAsia 3 weeks to ship it to me as they had to get it from the distributor, and another month in the mail using their free shipping option. The company website is gone, so I would assume anyone who wants one should get it before YesAsia runs out as I'm guessing it won't show up often on the used market as this film came and went almost unnoticed. The 3D is ok. I think Warner Brothers was somehow involved as it opens with the same Warner Brothers logo in 3D you'd get from a North American 3D WB disc, but I don't see any mention of WB on the cover, slip or discs either, no logo or anything. Their logo is on the poster, but I guess they forgot to put it on the home release just like the 3D logo lol. The next part is the logo for the company who made it, and the 3D is nice with explosion type effect of things coming out of the screen. I haven't had a chance to sit and watch the entire thing yet, but from some jumping around the movie itself is mostly depth, maybe medium or so. The subtitles are fine but they didn't add any depth or popout, so there are moments where the character is closer to you than the subtitles, but the subtitles are on top of the character so it's kind of strange. It's mostly because they should have pushed the subtitles towards the viewer, but it's still easy to read. I'll update after I get a chance to sit down and watch the entire thing Last edited by Deciazulado; 07-15-2022 at 11:50 PM. |
