Default where'd my thread go?(Blu-ray boxsets.com)

I posted a thread which has stayed pretty active...."it pays to check out blu-rayboxsets. com" and now it's disappeared. Any Mod care to tell me why?

Probably getting a bit too "spammy" - and the thread went in 20 directions. LOL - I understand.

If there are multiple threads on the same topic, many times the mods will consolidate. Or as also mentioned, if the thread gets way off topic and looses sight of the original intent, it could be closed.

I've kidnapped it and now have it suspended above a tank of liquid hot magma populated with ill tempered sea bass that have laser beams attached to their heads. And will not release it unless you give me one hundred meeeellion dollars

Nope...NOT that one. It was a follow up post crowing about my finding the Die Hard collection for $17. Someone else had added they just picked up Planet Earth for $35. But by all means, keep twenty threads open on how BB has it for $59...Borders at $60, and Amazon at $57......THOSE are soooooo important.

If it was the Ebay steals thread, it was full of, and would be a future magnet for people selling stolen discs on Ebay, and we're not going to help send him customers.

What is wrong with you people....did you even READ the post? The title of the deleted thread was "It pays to check www.blu-rayboxsets.com". I don't have a clue why it was eliminated. Perhaps the MODS think I'm a shill for the site, but in reality, I'm just a fan boy at worst. I've found some GREAT deals there, the service is above and beyond the norm, and those that have shopped there solely due to my posts about it have found some great deals. In almost every case where I see a post of X title is available at X site for X dollars, I've found it cheaper at blue-rayboxsets.com (excepting BOGO deals) To me, the Mods are doing a disservice to this community.

The thing is that blu-rayboxsets.com is just a wrapper for used BDs on Amazon (correct me if I'm wrong), so it's just people selling old/used movies cheap. There are also no hot/special deals, it's constant lower prices because it's old/used movies.

If we allowed this in the Hot Deals forum, it would be flooded with 1 million ebay threads and would render the whole forum useless. The Hot Deals forum is for when webshops and offline retailers have hot/special deals/limited time offers for new movies/hardware.

actually, 98% of what you will find on the site are BRAND NEW BD's. occasionally only used are available from 3rd party sources but it will specifically state USED. And the thread made by capecodguy was actually taking over and going in a better direction than the original thread for blu-rayboxsets.com. again, the site searches through all 3rd party sources selling on amazon and gives you the lowest price on the blu-ray that you searched for in the NEW condition. If there are no new copies available it WILL give you the used prices but specifically state that they are used which only has happened maybe 2% of the time. He was simply restating that the site can get you some great deals. I believe his die hard and a planet earth were the only specific titles posted about being bought. The rest was prely about the site, new features, and John helping people that were having problems with the site or sellers on the site. It was in no way a replica thread of ebay steals.

THE END

Wrong! And if you bothered to take a look you'd see that. If a title is used it says so plainly. 99.9% it is brand new blurays with new releases and box sets, of course. Oh...and PS3 games too.

Edit: Actually, Peech explained it far better than I. Thanks guy.

Regardless, those are not "hot deals' those are independent sellers

And remember, buying through amazon helps keep this site alive.

should be a little more respectful to the people that make this site possible ... and they are right if everytime someone saw a 5.99 blu-ray on ebay and posted a link to it there would be nothing but ebay links all over the forum.
