When tennis pro Jaime Sommers (Emmy Award winner* Lindsay Wagner), is critically injured in a skydiving accident, she is "rebuilt" using the government's top secret cybernetic replacement surgery known as "bionics". As the world's first bionic woman, Jaime is equipped with bionic legs capable of running over 60 miles-per-hour, a bionic arm that can lift an automobile, and a bionic ear that can detect the slightest of sounds. With her tennis career necessarily over, Jaime returns to her hometown of Ojai, California, to start life anew as a school teacher at a U.S. Air Force base. Between her classroom duties, Jaime moonlights as a secret agent for OSI Director Oscar Goldman (Richard Anderson), taking on highly-classified—and usually dangerous—missions, to satisfy a debt she feels is owed to the government for making her "whole" again.

Nearly through watching this on US DVD, interested in the Blu-rays, but I'd imagine this will be expensive.

The Six Million Dollar Man is released the same day.

What does this extra mean though "All 4 Six Million Dollar Man episodes explain the origins of The Bionic Woman" ? Is it a badly written listing that is supposed to mean that all the SMDM episoes where Jamie Sommers appears are included and also they happen to explain her origins?

The audio at the end of "The Return of Bigfoot Part II" has not been corrected; plus new audio problems have been generated in this new set.

I'd also like any details on the audio not being corrected at the end of the episode "The Return of Bigfoot, Part II", as well as the "new audio problems" generated in Fabulous Films UK's Blu-ray boxset (the claim was made/the claims were made a week ago by a new member, but nothing since).

Bummer. Was hoping they might take the time to fix these issues, but it might just be the same as the Shout version. I was trying to keep a list of the problems as people reported them, if anyone can check these episodes that would confirm it:

"Road to Nashville" - the opening credits sequence is muffled.
"Kill Oscar Part 1" - muffled sound for the first 8-10 minutes.
"Jaime's Shield—Part II" - muffled effect, while the dialogue and sound FX are OK.
"The Night Demon" - muffled dialogue up to the point that Jamie is talking with the photo lab technician.
"Doomsday is Tomorrow Part 2" - muffled audio when Jaime gets gets her leg damaged, she goes to the auxiliary computer to fix it.

I've got the Fabulous Films release and I've just listened to the following examples you gave and I didn't notice anything wrong or unusual with the sound.

"Road to Nashville" - the opening credits sequence
"Kill Oscar Part 1" - the first 8-10 minutes
"The Night Demon" - early scenes
"Doomsday is Tomorrow Part 2" - when Jaime gets gets her leg damaged and goes to the auxiliary computer to fix it

I haven't started to watch this set properly yet as I want to watch some Six Million Dollar Man episodes first on the Fab Films Blu-ray set including the two Bionic Woman intro 2-parters before starting this BW set. But just viewing a few sample scenes I can see the episodes look great as do the SMSM episodes I've already watched.

Well that's encouraging, thanks for checking. The audio on some of those is very noticeable, almost like how it sounds when you're under water. When you get to the BW set be sure to report back. I'm really hoping either this or the French set will be the definitive version of the show.

I will report back if I find any issues - but I intend watching 1 BW episode and 2 SMDM episodes a week with 2 parters as feature length episodes so it will probably take me about year to get through them both. I don't want to binge watch as I like to savour new releases.
