Looks good in the sprite TMNT style that no doubt helped inspire it along with a few other games including DD.
The arcade Double Dragon original is good, although the left right button set up is definitely unusual compared to fighting games these days where you just push the direction you want to punch rather than the button. For the art style, it looks good, although seeing those full scale proportioned character images makes me wish the whole game had that proportion of humans versus the cartoony people in the gameplay. I'll keep an eye open for this though, thanks. Now just waiting for Sega to license a game sequel to Golden Axe 1 arcade (not Golden Axe: Return of Death Adder arcade or Golden Axe 2 or 3 on Genesis), but a new game, Golden Axe 4 in the style of the first game, bringing back Ax Battler, Tyris Flare, and Gillius Thunderhead. |

I also would like to see a new Golden Axe sequel, especially seeing how Streets of Rage 4 and the latest TMNT turned out. I'll even go a step further and say that I would like to see a TMNT style collection for the Golden Axe series, which included all of the arcade games, including the utterly brilliant Return of Black Adder which was never ported to home consoles, as well as all of the Genesis, SMS and GG games. |

Speaking of classic beat 'em up games, I would love to see a sequel to Golden Axe. Like the recent Streets of Rage 4 and TMNT games, it would be amazing to get a modern sequel to the Golden Axe series. The graphics and gameplay could have been updated while retaining the essence of the original games. You could also look at the reviews at https://casinosanalyzer.ca/online-ca...ian-dollar-cad and pick something else. But you know what would have been even better? A TMNT-inspired collection for the Golden Axe series! It would have been fantastic to release a compilation that included all the arcade games, including the incredible Return of Black Adder, which unfortunately never came out on home consoles. Let's not forget the games for Genesis, SMS and GG. To have them all in one collection would be a dream come true for nostalgic gamers like us.

------- And yes to a complete collection of Golden Axe games including the Sega Saturn Golden Axe Fighter game. Although I doubt they'd include the polygon based Golden Axe Tyris Flare PS3 action adventure game, which I never played since it only had Flare as the only playable character, and got weak reviews too. |

![]() I guess it's being released shortly if not already. It looks interesting. The mini style doesn't match the art style of the original though. It looks nicely drawn, but I wish they went with a more realistic proportion. I saw that when you're performing a powerful move, the enemies can easily interrupt it with an attack after you already started the move, resulting in a hit against the player. Hopefully they fix that so the power move is invincible. |

Thanks. So it's available now.
The art work is nicely done, but it's all over the place for the game and the marketing. They show a painted picture of the characters in a realistic style, then in the cutscenes, proportioned characters in cartoon style, but in the actual game, super exaggerated sprite cartoon style with giant heads. The art style is a major departure from the original games IMO. The game also doesn't have unlimited continues, and increases the boss and level difficulty as you progress each level choice. You can earn coins, but eventually might run out to continue or upgrade. |

Considering the meme-filled easter egg era that we lived in, I'm surprised that there is no super powerful hidden character called Bimmy in this game. The developers really missed out there. That would've been such a wink to all the "old school gamers" out there.
