You should not have a problem with that!
I have a yamaha 7.1 and it switches depending on how the source is encoded. Not only that even if you have a 5.1 setup and the source is 7.1 you should not have any problems at all. At least that is what I've experienced so far. |

I have an Onkyo 804. It's 7:1. Yes I know it's a few years old, but it sounds great. My question is this. For some reason, if a movie is in 5:1, the rear sound comes from the middle two speakers instead of the rear speakers. Can I disable those two middle ones and make the back ones play in 5:1 so I don't have to just use five speakers?
A lot more movies now have 7:1 surround sound, and I would love to hear it. I'm just tired of trying to reposition the speakers for movies that aren't in 7:1. As it stands, I don't have the number six and number seven speakers hooked up. it's killing me. I want to hear 3:10 To Yuma in all it's glory. |
