Fellow 4k Bluray viewers and collectors,

Walt Disney and Bluray.com, it is time for Tron (1982) and Tron Legacy (2010) to come to 4K with dolby atmos and dolby vision!!! Would love to revisit these great films. Haven't watched the first one. Make it happen!

Dolby Vision on Disney's UHD? Good luck.

The second one for sure!
And how about the sequel while we are at it (getting filmed and made)!

Sitting here watching Tron Legacy on my still relatively new 55" LG SM8600 UHD set, and I was thinking how good this one could look on a UHD BD with a Dolby Vision HDR grade, but I know we'll probably get something like The Abyss first, lol. Such is life.

It’s not that they aren’t well known they aren’t that big of a hit compared to their other stuff me I enjoyed tron legacy more than tron.

Tron Legacy is probably IMO the best sci-fi movie this century. I love it a lot. I try not to overwatch it. But I listen to the soundtrack on the "topic" resource on YT near daily.

I think this will come out with the theatrical release of the next one. I've seen how it can look in glorious HDR

Agreed with those who questioned its likelihood to get Dolby Vision. That's only for new movies they put out and still is super rare. Like almost never.

I guess this will be a test to see where Disney stands on physical media. Not only is it the 40th anniversary but they have the new roller coaster opening in 2023.

I'm hoping Disney will cater to physical media fans and give us both Tron and Legacy on UHD but worst case, at least allow someone (like Criterion) license it out and do it.

I'm looking at my Blu-Ray Duo Pack and reminded that they are still not in 4k, maybe when the 3rd movie eventually gets release we'll get them all in 4k.

If there's one good thing that's coming from the upcoming film, it would be 4K releases of the first two films.

Unless they bungle it up POTC style.
