Angie Dickinson plays the accomplice who uses her seductive wiles to ensnare one of Walker's prey. "I want my 93 grand," Walker growls at him. Throughout, the payoff to that demand is action that "hits like a fat slug from the .38 Lee Marvin uses as an extension of his fist" (Newsweek).

In 2013 I was in a store and I even took the DVD up to the counter, but the disc was scratched (it was a used) and I put it back. Glad I did...

WB are getting into gear now - with GET CARTER, PERFORMANCE, POINT BLANK, THE TIME MACHINE, TIGHTROPE and the 1960s BATMAN TV series on the way, 2014 is shaping up to be a decent year for them.

Now give me RYAN'S DAUGHTER, BRINGING UP BABY and VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED and all will be forgiven.

I’m absolutely thrilled that this marvellous film is coming out this year. Marvin’s silent, cold & unfussy characteristics fit Walker like a glove & the opportunity to hear the great John Vernon’s commandingly authoritative voice unhindered in lossy audio would be just terrific.

In anticipation that the commentary from Boorman and Soderbergh makes it across, it would be fabulous if Warner could license Boorman’s BBC documentary on Marvin that introduced me to this magnificent film.
