Maybe Sony could release this on 4K later in the year?

Have they ever released a title on UHD months after releasing it BD-only? I know Universal does that, but I don't think Sony does.

Yep, seems unlikely for a film that isn't a genre movie, made such a small impact at the box office, and will sell very few copies.

Indeed. Even box office hits such as Garfield, Anyone but You, and It Ends with Us did not get a 4K release. Sony has gotten pickier with contemporary 4K releases these days. Horror and Marvel are the safest sales bets, as even flops in that arena such as Kraven still got 4K releases.
