Canada Raised by Wolves: The Complete Second Season (Blu-ray)

Not available for shipping to USA. How nice. They pulled the same nonsense with Season 1.

Amazon Canada has been like that for a while. It's infuriating. I ended up getting S1 on eBay, but another member said there's a store in Montreal that ships to the US. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name, but it should be in the S1 thread.

Me as well, and I figure I'll do the same thing again.

Oddly, I stopped watching S2 somewhere in the middle, but I know it's not going anywhere and will get back to finishing it at some point.

But this series has obviously been produced on disc for North America, but they're not making it available in the US...yet. And that's bull.

With the show getting cancelled, I'd be surprised if they ever bothered to release it in the US. If they did it'd probably be a complete series now. If it's not DC, I bet all the WB-owned HBO Max stuff ends up staying exclusive to the service.

I'm not sure that's a safe assumption, HBO Max has been in the headlines a lot lately for pulling lots and lots of their original shows and even their original movies from the service. And lots of articles have suggested HBO Max will be folded into Discovery+ within a year.

I wouldn't assume the show will be streaming on HBO Max forever.

I know about the coming changes because of the buyout. Shutting down HBO Max would be a retarded move.

However, my intention has been to finish watching the show by the end of the year, and once I get the Blu-rays it won't matter anyway if I'm not finished watching it via streaming.

Rumor has been the HBO Max will cease to exist sometime during spring next year.

And I know this series ends on a cliffhanger, which does piss me off.

Discovery+ and HBO Max are going to merge into some amalgamation of the two, but they haven't said what it'll be. If it's favoring Disc+ then they're going to lose a lot of subscribers.

As far as shows leaving, it seems like those have been ones with little to no views that they're having to pay for anyway... which is understandable. Not ideal but understandable.

Most of the HBO Max Original Films and shows they removed so far looked like ones nobody was watching, but the issue is that fairly soon, nobody will be watching this show anymore, once it's just another cancelled show that's a year or two old, and at that point, they could just as easily drop it too.

The discs are a way to avoid that.

That's also why I'm buying them.

I just finished watching this series a couple of weeks ago and man did I ever find it incredible. After hearing this is getting removed from HBO Max (though it's still currently on Crave in Canada), it made me look into what purchase options there are out there.

Each bluray season is $40 (season 2 isn't available in the US? That's some straight-up bullsht), while on iTunes, seasons 1 and 2 are $22.99 and $19.99, but you can also get both seasons bundled together for $24.99. I'd love to own this on bluray, but at that price point, it's probably just easier to get the digital bundle.

Does anyone know when this is being removed from streaming?

Neither season has ever been released on BD in the US. Canada got a BD for S1, from what I read, because HBO Max wasn't available there. I had to import a BD, for my Ridley Scott collection.

My S1 & S2 BDs arrived from the UK last week. I'm in the USA.

I have the Region 1 release of season 1, but the UK release of season 2 given that Amazon won't ship from Canada to the US any longer. The UK release is PAL, so doesn't that mean it will be running at the PAL standard of 25fps rather than the NTSC standard of 24fps? :::sigh:::

I'm so annoyed.

According to the back cover on Amazon.co.uk, the disc is 1080p, so it should be 24fps. Otherwise, it would have to be listed as 1080/50i, which is the only way they can do 25fps.

Yeah, I looked at the back cover (of the UK BD) and it's in 1080p/ DTS HD-MA 5.1.
