Mel Gibson is returning to the director’s chair for the first time since 2016 Oscar winner Hacksaw Ridge with movie Flight Risk, which will star Oscar nominee Mark Wahlberg.

Lionsgate, which was also behind Hacksaw Ridge, is launching world sales on the hot package ahead of the Cannes market.

Plot details are being kept under wraps but we understand it’ll see Wahlberg play a pilot transporting a dangerous criminal for trial. Additional casting is underway. [+]

Passion 2 and Destroyer, the most interesting ones (IMO, natch), always on the back burner...

Anyway I'll believe any of these projects are happening when they actually come out

Never got the BD for Apocalypto and I think it's OOP for years now. At this point, I'm just waiting for the UHD to immediately pre order.

I'd buy that day one but given that it's owned by Disney I don't have high hopes for one.

The transfer is superb, it was my first ever Blu and it knocked my socks off.

It's a good looking transfer. My 4k tv and player upgrades the disc. Am very pleased with it. It won't disappoint you. Not sure Apocalypto will ever get a uhd. Gibson is still kind of on the blacklist with Hollywood. Plus Disney is what it is now days.

Look forward to Passion 2 and anything else Gibson directs. He's not a cookie cutter director like a lot of Hollywood is these days.

According to Production Weekly, this has been shooting in Las Vegas since June 16th. It's been given a waiver from SAG-AFTRA as an independent production.
