At least this release comes with the blu ray with the same transfer that isn't messed up with, so you can ditch the 4k disc, not entirely worthless I suppose

I'm happy for Waxwork Records spreading their wings and making a slipcover based from the album cover but this does seem like an odd re-release.

Maybe they are not selling as well as expected so Paramount slapped them in a steelbook with a slipcover hoping to woo other types of colectors, lol.

Why didn’t they make the pupil area of the slipcover transparent or cut a hole in it so the forest on the steelbook showed through?

What's the reason for the poor transfer? Looks to me like they just did a +30 contrast and darkened everything. Could be worse?

Paramount's Instagram has once again put togehter a nice promo vid for their Steelbook, which I've turned into a GIF

Not sure if anyone mentioned it yet, but I saw this in store today and the slipcover is PAPER and not PET/plastic like the Lionsgate has gotten us all so comfortable with. Might be a deal breaker for some.

It was always known to be the case. Just like Running Man, Smile and some other Paramount titles.
