Default Problems with 3:10 to Yuma

I'm having problems with 3:10 to Yuma on my Cyberlink. I thought I already upgraded my player but I'll try it again. Is anyone else having this problem or is it just me?

Not alone indeed. Cyberlink is really disappointing me.

Riverside, what version of powerdvd are you using. Mine's 7.3

Mine is 7.3.3514.0 hope they fix it soon, I don't know what the problem is. I get to the menu and I'm stuck I've tried multiple things and nothing works. I simply can't play the film, and it's utter torture to be able to see previews and the menu and having no control of your player other then to turn it off. ARGH!!

Absolutely. I mean, how pathetic is that. You can't even use your damned mouse to click on the "play" button on the main menu to just simply watch the movie (arrow keys and enter key don't help either). I can understand how there might be issues with advanced features, but this is ridiculous.

I still haven't heard back from cyberlink yet. I'll let y'all know when I do....and please do the same for me.

Riverside666, How did you determine the extension on your version of powerdvd? When I right click on the splash screen, and select "about" from the resulting context menu, I only see 7.3.

I hope this image tells you everything you need to know and how to locate it, if not feel free to ask me again and I'll spend more detail on it all. You know the saying "An image is 1000 words" Hope it works out.

Here's an idea not even a great idea but an idea nevertheless. Reading through the HIgh Def Digest forums about the movie, many people have said that they were unable to skip through the menu and that they had to watch through all 7-8 previews (And believe me they hated it) . I know I skipped through all of it using cyberlink, so basically I'm wondering if you watch through all of the previews if the menu will work? Has anyone done this? Is anyone bored enough to try it? I'll try it once I get home from work but like I said "Just a thought." I don't for a second think this will work, but it wouldn't hurt to try would it?

In vista, the properties menu is slightly different with no 'version' tab, I found that if you just mouse over the program in explorer it will show you.

I have the same version as you, and am not getting audio to work

But it still plays? believe it or not I'm jealous. I wish I had the same problem you had so I could better diagnose it but I don't have a clue at the moment I can't even get mine to play.

Your pic did the trick.
I have the exact same version as you. So what led you to get the patch that led to this version. For me, it was because Powerdvd ceased to play ANY blu-ray once I inserted the Die Hard BD into my drive. I think that maybe the BD+ encryption on that disk wigged out powerdvd. Especially in retrospect, I consider myself lucky though, and within one day of this happening, the patch was out (or at least made available to me by cyberlink). It didn't allow me to watch Die Hard but it did allow me to start watching other movies again. Hooray for technology!

Default Cyberlink

I didnt have a problem with 3:10 to Yuma on my PS3. But I have a question on what Cyberlink is. Is it a program for your computer where you can play BD's?

I will accept the following as compensation for answering your extremely difficult question:

50' Inch Plasma by Vizio = $2000
PS3 Bluray player = $500
Bluray Movies: 44

or those of us not happy with the current solution for playing 3:10 to Yuma, here's the response I got from Cyberlink regarding the issue:

"In response to your concern, we want to inform you that PowerDVD software is unable to play some specific Blu-ray DVDs which have been encoded by using latest technology.

Please note that "3:10 to Yuma" is one of such Blu-ray DVDs.

We have already escalated this issue to our R & D Department and they are expected to release a patch for resolving this issue very soon."

So we just have to keep checking for updates, I guess. I can't imagine this will take long; it has to be a top priority for them.

Default What is up with Samsung BPD 1200 firmware?

Samsung is so unresponsive--- after the 2.0 update there has been nothing--still cannot play POC 3, Blade Runner, 3:10 to Yuma or Die Hard 3...
When I last complained to them, the rep said I was just "venting" and no help at all...
Anyone had any better luck?

Can someone tell me if the Intervideo BD program will play 3:10 to Yuma on their PC?

https://store.corel.com/webapp/wcs/s...0302&langId=-1

If so I'll pick it up, but I wanna be sure first.

Default 3:10 to Yuma on my Samsung BD-P1400

I too had trouble with this disc on my Samsung BD-P1400. It went nuts at the menu the very first time I played it. I let it run through all the previews first and when it got to the menu I could not select anything except PLAY. I ejected it and started over and this time it played the movie. It is indeed all the advanced stuff coming out on newer discs. The new Die Hard and Pirates would not play either I was told until their new 1.5 upgrade was released. It came out yesterday and I installed it. My player went nuts again but I now have it resolved.

It seems to be a problem with the movie since I've tried PowerDVD, Nero, and arcsoft TotalMedia Theatre and none of them let you select anything at the menu. Let's just hope they're really working on the updates like they say they are.
