Blu-ray Ninja

![]() ![]() Hi, Not sure where else to post this or ask, mods feel free to delete this or move it to the right place. I know of this 3D Blu-Ray set that sell for 80Euro; https://re-voir.com/shop/en/ken-jaco...cobs-3x3d.html *To watch these films in 3D, YOU WILL NEED: full HD 3D TV + Compatible 3D glasses + Blu-Ray 3D player* but I notice KINO has released a similar set with this description; and went on to embrace digital tools - using stroboscopic effects to turn silent shorts and Victorian stereoscopic photographs into mind-expanding 3D investigations (Capitalism: Child Labor). Child Labor is in this set but *NOT* in the 80 euro set, but I'm not sure if the KINO edition supports 3D or not. Does anyone know? The set is here; https://www.kinolorber.com/product/k...ection-blu-ray The KINO set also has a 96 min version of; The Sky Socialist (1963-‘64/2019, 96 minutes) The euro edition (3D) is only 76 minutes, so maybe this is an extended version? I'm not familiar with these films so I'm not sure Last edited by the13thman; 12-02-2021 at 05:00 PM. Reason: added link |

You’re right Joe. Someone in the Kino thread who owns this confirmed no 3D which IMO is odd seeing as it’s KINO

One thing should be noted before you buy, these works are not conventional 3D films, these avant-garde works use 3D as a tool to play with or destroy one's normal visual space. Just like Goodbye to Language and Prototype, they aim for exploring new cinema language rather than provide you a comfortable 3D experience. Though Ken's 3D works are probably way more "experimental" than those two. So it depends on how much you can take on experimental films, personally I find this set essential and I longed for more Ken Jacobs' 3D works to be presented in blu-ray 3D. So it was quite a disappointment for me to know that Kino set do not include any 3D films Ken made. Hope Volume 2 can change this situation.

I just got mine through from re-voir today, very quick delivery (just as well, given the price).
I will have to pick my moment to watch it though, I need to be in the right frame of mind to watch this kind of stuff. |

The Aero in LA is screening a double feature of Goodbye to Language and 3X3D next month.
Happy for a chance to see 3X3D, but I'm still waiting for a Robot Monster screening! |
