Came out last month but I couldn't find a thread for it... seems like a show that should be avoided when you see it advertised while browsing Netflix, but it's actually quite good.

This show was magnificent. Expecting season 2, that wa announced a while ago. I watched the first 4 episodes first and then I had to study for my mid-term, and then I watched the next 4 when I came home from taking it.

Who wrote this show, its just bad. Well not as bad as sex ed was a long time ago but its just... Ugh. Love Gillian Anderson even if she's a tad old these days.

Finished season two yesterday, it's good but nothing special, really.

Season 2 was a small step down from season 1 imo, but still good stuff.

Absolutely hated

But this show has so many great characters, problems with the plot don't hurt it that much.

Absolutely, insanely funny. Going to be the best season yet.

Just finished season 3. Really really great overall. Got to my feels with every damn episode. This show is so good.

That said I do have a minor nitpick which was the tik tok product placement in a scene where it just ruined what was a very dramatic moment.

But overall it was great, I hope it doesn't take too long for the next season.

I enjoyed first season quite a bit, but then every subsequent season was worse than previous one, the fourth one was really bad.

I actually just watched season 1-3 for the first time the week that season 4 premiered... I liked 1-3 but with 4 it felt like two different shows. They shouldn't have left the old school and just found some mysterious benefactor or something at the last second because the new school was terrible, filled with annoying new characters which seemed to get more screentime than the actual regular characters. The second O started rapping I was like nope, I'd have automatically voted for whoever she was going against. All the more interesting classmates were randomly gone to other schools, and they brought back Jackson which was an odd choice. He never really had much to do, he was just sort of there. Viv and Cal were kind of the same, I don't dislike any of them but they just weren't the ones I'd have thought would be brought back. Keeping Adam so far apart from everybody was a terrible decision. The only good thing the season did was give Eric a bigger focus, even if the visions made no sense in the context of the show. Aimee's storyline was good, Ruby was alright but basically only was there to further Otis' story and didn't really have much of her own which is a damn shame. Otis was terrible, and Maeve was only slightly better.

New characters were either completely off-putting or just uninteresting, and the main plotline ending was disappointing.

Adam's plotline seemed completely separated from the whole story from the beginning to the end, cant say this was a good idea.

I loved every season. The fourth one was a big adjustment, but we still had the main characters there, and Ruby finally got her time in the spotlight. Sex Education is absolutely one of my favourite shows of the past half decade or so.

They dropped a lot of the interesting characters from the cast and replaced them with a bunch of new ones. It felt like a reboot more than a final season, It wasn't awful but not particularly good either. Went out with a whimper.
