Sony Pictures I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998)

For anyone who cares...

Sony no longer knows what you're doing on Blu-ray this summer after yanking the planned debut of the slasher sequel from its next-gen schedule.

Originally announced for a July 22 Blu-ray bow, the Jennifer Love Hewitt scream-fest 'I Still Know What You Did Last Summer' was to join the original 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' in making its high-def debut.

We've now received confirmation from Sony that while the original 'Summer' remains on track for release, 'I Still Know' has been given the hook, with no new date pending.

The studio gave no word on the reasons behind the change and didn't say if or when a new date might be announced. As always, we'll keep you posted.

In light of Sony's announcement, we've moved 'I Still Know What You Did Last Summer' to the "Release Dates Postponed" section of our Blu-ray Release Schedule.

I've had both on pre-order for a while, and was very disappointed when I noticed that "I Still Know" was delayed in my order. Hopefully it does get re-dated for sometime soon. The rest of the year is so cluttered though that it really seems like it needs to come out now or wait until next year.

Well that sucks. They still have the UK version. I'll probably get that then.

In the UK, it's the opposite. They're getting "I Still Know" but not "I Know".

I just placed an order through amazon.co.uk for the UK version, I'm gonna see if it will work in my PS3 like the Kanye West UK Blu-Ray did.

No problem. Hopefully it does work because even though it's shipping overseas, it was pretty cheap if you just choose Air Mail, around $23USD.

Nice! Today is just full of awesome news from cancelled/delayed titles to WB sucking goat cheese on Speed Racer! I'll go cancel my Amazon order now... But at least I get to save some money just like with Speed Racer...

Wasn't ever the biggest fan of these movies but they were entertaining. Not to surprised the 2nd one has been delayed, except that it is definitly already ready to ship and you'd think people buying 1 would pick up 2. I don't get that decision by Sony.

I actually only really want the first one and only when it goes down to like $10 on sale. I waited until the DVD set was like $10-15 for both to buy it. V. entertaining with JLH and all but not worth it to get it right away or anything.

My pre order of "I still know..." blu ray is in packing status on amazon.co.uk.

I have a funny feeling that it is going to be Region B only.

I kinda like "I Still Know..." I hope it resurfaces for an October release. Otherwise, there's no good time to release it, except with the original.

With no disrespect meant to fans of this series, these movies sucked. Big time. This is no big loss at all.

It's a loss on their part. It's one of the few movies I was gonna buy. Maybe they will get it released soon.
