I have a 2011 Panasonic VIERA TC-P55ST30 55-Inch 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV TV. Typically, I watch blu-rays or something via Roku. TV works fine. I hope it lasts a long time.
Given the rarity of 3D TVs these days, I wanted to ask you folks about this before I tried it, because I know we have a lot of technically knowledgeable members. If I have a Windows laptop and am streaming a TV show or whatever through a web browser on the laptop, can I run an HDMI cable out from the laptop and into one of the TV HDMI inputs, such as one that I would typically use for a blu-ray player? Then I could watch whatever I am streaming on the plasma instead of the 15" laptop screen. Is there something that would be damaged by doing this, or is it ok? |
