I'ma copy and paste my thoughts from the Lawrence 4K thread.

That steelbook art is hideous. Way too busy and cartoonish for such an elegant film. Color scheme feels wrong too. Looks more like a guy going on a lark in Arizona or something. That pop art metalbook was way better at capturing the feel of the movie.

I dunno, it has more of a vintage art deco look to me, but as this is just a mockup, I'll reserve judgment until we have pics of the actual steel.

Agreed. Why so much greenery in the desert. They look like camel droppings.

I agree. It really needed more of a minimalist approach. I get what they were going for, and they could have done it, but still gone for the iconic aesthetic the movie that everyone recognizes. If they removed the odd green scrub brush and the sun, and replaced it with just dunes in the background, and sand in the foreground (similar to the poster/pic), it might have worked.

Yuck!

I was getting worried I would have to drop some more cash on this when I saw the title. Then I saw the pic - phew! Money saved! Will just keep the disc I have from the Colombia set.

I guess they are trying to be creative. But that’s just really ugly.

Looks pretty good to me. Just glad to have an individual release, let alone a steelbook.

Landfill of Arabia!

That stuff looks like green trash.

Anywhoo. I have the Columbia set and will be staying put. I'm happy for those that just wanted a standalone! Widespread availability is always a good thing.

Lawrence in Australian Outback is what this is

Why is the Australian desert/sand red/orange?
A: It is red because the outer coating of each grain contains some iron which has oxidised (rusted).

Laughing my ass off at this artwork. Poop Art, again.
It's sort of cool, in some modern way. But for such an iconic MOVIE? No way.
Thought the art worked for the Fifth Element release, but not for this.

The Pop Art was one of the rare pop art steelbooks that worked and looked great. This one isn't terrible, but not going to replace my pop art with this one.
