Great news. For no good reason, I have been holding off on importing this. Now I have one.

Just a matter of waiting a little longer for a review to compare the German edition with this one.

Ha, I was just about to make a thread on My Name is Nobody and saw that Arkadin already made one.

This film is a childhood favorite. Saw it in a theater on an Army base in West Germany in the mid-1970s, along with the other two Terrence Hill spaghetti western-comedies They Call Me Trinity and Trinity is STILL My Name. Loved them all, thought they were absolutely hilarious. Have not seen My Name is Nobody since then but still remember how much I liked it. So happy to see it coming to blu-ray; can't wait to get this.

Hope we will also get the other two Terrence Hill spaghetti westerns at some point.

The picture quality of the DVD version of 'Nobody' (developed by the same company, MONDO ENTERTAINMENT) is superb, except for two very brief scenes:

1- Solarization for about 3 seconds AFTER Nobody has explained the "bird parable" to Jack Bouregard.

2- Scratches and dirt for about 3 seconds during a later scene, a closer shot of Nobody's face when he is talking with the big villain boss.

That's it. I don't know if they fixed these two scenes for the BD (realized at the same time of the SD-DVD).

Poor review isn't going to stop me from purchasing this. Actually the review doesn't even really brother me, I am not one who personally minds a little print damage/scratches here and there.

YES! I've been waiting for this forever. Used to watch this all the time on VHS as a kid back in the 90's.

I'll wait for some feedback on how the other versions of this compare as far as the print damage goes before I buy.

How does this compare to the German release? Is the slight telecine wobble reported in the German version present?

It contains fairly heavy print damage. This transfer was possibly taken from a standard 35mm film print and not from elements closer to the film negative. There is an improvement shown over DVD resolution in terms of grain structure and a modest improvement in detail. The transfer is a little disappointing but I guess this is the best we are going to get for a somewhat forgotten spaghetti western.

Your sentiments echo mine, I'll get this too.

When are they claiming it wobbles? It is most definitely an older film transfer done on a telecine for this Image BD, though I didn't detect a noticeable amount of wobble.

If memory serves me well, the Italian blu-ray is taken from original negatives restored.

Same here bro! I am a military brat as well (20 years Air Force) and I saw this film in the early 70's when I was just a kid. This is when I fell in love with Ennio Morricone's film scores. I just found the entire soundtrack to My Name Is Nobody on YouTube. Great film score!!
