I'm with you. After HD channels and Blu-ray, i find myself not watching SD channels unless theres something i really want to watch. I almost never 'flip channels' in SD anymore.

I won't watch anything but the Hi Def channels from DirecTV. Even Hi Def commercials are almost watchable.

In fact, watching ST: Enterprise in Hi Def makes me disappointed that I had to buy the series a couple years back in SD. Makes me want to torture Paramount into releasing all the ST series in Blu-ray--not that other format.

I totally agree with you. I only watch my HD channels now. It's not as clear as blu buy some channels get pretty close in pq.

On a similar note I watched a dvd for the first time since getting my blu-ray player. It's such a transition. We always talk about the difference, but when you see it, it's such a profound difference.

Just messin' witcha. Same here about not watching SD TV any more. Can't wait for 2009 when everyone is "supposed" to go HD.

Agree.

Trying to watch foxnews election coverage in sd is just painful. Why foxbusiness is hd, but not foxnews, I have no idea. (directv) boo.

Just wanted to let you know that you're not entirely correct about the transition to digital. Everything doesn't necessarily have to be in High Definition. See the following link for more information: http://www.dtv.gov/whatisdtv.html

My father who is almost 60 recently commented on how bad a game we were watching on ESPN looked (we don't have ESPN-HD). He was asking me how come it looked so horrible compared to Blu-Ray and normal HD channels. I was surprised that even someone like him, who doesn't have the best eyesight, could see a huge difference. Because of this, I'm sure HDTV adoption will continue to skyrocket and eventually HDTV ownership will be the majority and with it the mass adoption of HD media.

I usually ignore the SD channels now. Even my wife, the other day she was watching a show on a regular channel and I heard her say "Damn it!". So I came back and asked "what's wrong?" and she said "this channel is not on HD and it looks like crap" lol

same situation, sadly i have regular direct tv box in my room, the only room that got hd is in the living room.I was thinking of asking to move the HD box to my room so that i can atleast have a somewhat HD channels.

But now my TV viewing has dropped and my movie watching has went up through the roof. i watch atleast one or 2 blu rays after work and play ps3 game for an hour, play with my dog....anyhting to avoid regular tv. only thing i watch on tv is family guy on adult swim and that i put the tv to sleep since not 3 minutes into the show i'll be dead asleep.

Thanks for clarifying, but I purposely put "supposed" in quotes because it's not really the case and is not what is going to happen. I should have used a different word, perhaps, but I was aware.
