Nice price! Approximately 175.000 for 4 boxsets, and that's excluding shipping costs. No English dub or subs

It seems ridiculous to divvy this up over so many sets and months. A year from today and the set won't even be complete. Interesting that it's dual format and will have HDR, but that may just be a way to justify so many boxes, as the disc counts look "better" for the money, 6 and 8-disc sets versus 3 or 4-disc sets.

There doesn't appear to be any video extras, either. Just booklets and retailer exclusive add-ons. And once again, a big, splashy Japanese home video project without Japanese SDH subtitles for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.

So with taxes and shipping that'll be about 13 an episode to the UK. It wasn't even that bad when we used to get 2 episodes of TV shows at a time on VHS, and at least they'd put those out one or two at a time so you didn't notice you were being asked to spend a grand on a series!

Are shows from the 60s usually have warmer tones compare to modern shows?
Not in particular, but the age of film materials tends to cause color shifts. Plus, in this case, the last BD release was sourced from film duplicates instead of the original master negatives. I'm sure Toei did extensive color correction on these new ones all the same though.

Wait, so there are going to be new 4K blu-rays soon??
Not just soon, the first box of Eps 1-26 was just released a few days ago. My copy just arrived today, but the 4K discs are new enough that they can't be decrypted yet, so I took screenshots of the included SDR 1080p BDs that use the same transfer.

I just got my collection in the mail.

I haven't had a chance to watch any episodes yet, but I did snap some UHD screenshots (with the usual HDR->SDR disclaimer), along with some comparisons of how these same episodes look on shoutfactorytv.com. You might need to open them in a new window or download them to do a proper comparison in their full 2160p resolution. (I resized the Shout Factory streaming versions to try to get more apples-to-apples.) They aren't exact frame matches, which is probably why the first comparison looks like it's losing so much on the right in UHD.
