I know it's from 20th Century, but does this count as a R-Rated Disney princess movie?

I like the director's previous action film, so looking forward to see this

Having just seen it, this is a R-rated live action Disney Princess movie - Brave meets Tangled meets The Raid with the tone of Kingsman. It's fast paced and bloody little thing and one of Joey King's better film roles.

After how absolutely terrible Le-Van Kiet's The Requin was, it's great to see what he can do with an actual budget and studio backing him. The movie also reunites him with Veronica Ngo, the star of his film Furie (which is spectacular). She's great here too.

This was fun. The action looked a bit sped up or high frame rate at times though.

Just watched this @ my sister’s house.

Lots and lots of action. Although, I thought that the fight scenes with Joey weren’t that good. Fun movie and I may want to watch it again.

Don't seem to be on Hulu anymore...hope that bodes for a 4k/bluray release.

It was among the films and shows Disney purged for tax purposes. There is a chance for a digital release though, as Disney has started making some films available to buy.

A princess wakes up on a pedestal as she is held hostage at the top of a medieval castle.

She then proceeds to, quite violently and in simple terms... 'John Wick' the ever loving shit out of every guard between her and the exit.

It's not a perfect movie, but it is an hour and a half of straight genre bending feminist action, moving from set-piece to set-piece as our Princess battles her way out of the castle taking on legions of guards.

The narrative is basic, some CG is ropey, but it belongs in the same stabby genre smashing category as, say 'Violent Night'.

A decent little action b-movie that deserves more respect than being unceremoniously deleted from a streaming service after receiving little to no effort in marketing.
