I believe so, but may as well grab it while you can. You can always cancel your preorder if it goes live anywhere else. Zavvi charges upon dispatch.

I'm pretty certain it is getting a US release. Just not sure if there will be a steelbook option or not.

Sorry, but I won't be going near it until I learn some more about the 4K remastering/upscaling process. 28 Days Later is one of my favourite films, but it looks absolutely awful. Filmed on DV cameras in standard definition (save for the end sequence), I genuinely can't see how it will look even slightly better in 4K. Change my mind, Sony.

Look what Second Sight has done with The Blair Witch Project. It looks excellent. So, anything is possible.

Blair Witch was shot on 16mm and videotape, both of which can be cleaned and rescanned. You can't really clean or rescan DV footage.

He was thinking like an artist, not as a rep for an electronics manufacturer.

and his art came out looking like a low budget high school project, I bet now he regrets using that camera for ''realism''
By the time the movie was halfway he couldn't back out anymore, he wishes he could upgrade it to proper 4k.

I'm aware of that. But, I think they might still surprise us. We'll see what happens.

What are you on about? 28 Days was the third in a sequence of deliberately "ugly" looking video projects Boyle made with Dod Mantle, a cinematographer he chose because of his links with the Dogme 95 movement, because at that point he had turned against 35mm and the idea of film as beauty due to his experiences on A Life Less Ordinary and The Beach. This is what he wanted it to look like and he remains proud of how it looks. Danny Boyle doesn't care about your TV set's feelings.

Ah, yes when in doubt, call it 'deliberately ugly' and pretend it’s genius. Bold move
I'm glad Professor Cinematic Intent is proud, I still think it looked like it was shot on a potato during a minor earthquake...but I'm glad Danny Boy is proud

What exactly is your problem? The movie looks how it looks because it's how the director wanted it to look. If you don't like it, then don't watch it and move on with your life.

So you're just a troll? Easy solution to that.
