I pre-ordered this set from Amazon Germany because of the apparently remastered transfers and the extras (some of which aren't on the US Blu-Rays). Hopefully they'll be the same discs internationally and be English friendly (I would imagine they would be if they're coming out elsewhere).

In the UK and France they're being released in a 4-disc configuration with the last RAMBO and in a limited edition "grenade" package -- but it's considerably more expensive:

Got my copy today and had a quick look at all three Discs (3x BD50 this time!).

I was a bit worried as the previous release looked awful (heavy DNR, one of the most disappointing releases, all three of them...).

And I can confirm that all three Films look terrific now!

It really looks like they were mastered from the original negatives, but I'm not sure of course.

Anyway, the Films now look like they deserve. Sharp, crisp, clean, and I could not detect any DNR or Edge Enhancement. Some scenes show more grain than others, but that's the way it should be.

One thing which is disappointing for us germans is the Audio Quality of the German Dub, which still is not that perfect, though better than the previous release. Especially on First Blood there is some ugly Dialog hiss.

Part 2 and 3 are O.K., but not perfect.

But I don't want to complain, the picture quality is great indeed and I would give all three movies a solid 4,0 if not better depending on the source material...

Rock-ranger, Can you confirm the presence of Spanish subtitles and audio tracks in all three films? And if so, there is one Spanish track or two (Spanish and Castillian)?

I haven't gotten mine yet to confirm, but they are region ABC and they're also coming out in the UK shortly, so hopefully that means they are English friendly (one would imagine they are).

I didn't got the setup .. but it seems that I contain english subs, but no subs for foreign language scenes only.

When Starting the Disc, it offers much choises of languages like France, Italy, Germany.. but not "English".
Maybe Optimum is brewing their own Disc, with only english Audio and Subs, and the international things are Studio Canal only...

...on the other Hand the UK Discs sem to contain international symbols (Dutch and Australia, if the pics at amazon.co.uk are right...

..maybe I just failed in setting up.

Hmmm....interesting. I was hoping to confirm before I open the set.

The Australian packaging is the same as the German release, though the art on the actual discs is different (though they're all A/B/C it looks like).

Just a heads-up the Russian subs are not an option in the German release. The region option at the start does not include the UK/Australia the way FIRST BLOOD and RAMBO II do...which is weird because otherwise the disc is English friendly in terms of menus (and it does have regular English subs).

Set is just terrific. Great transfers!

The Australian packaging is the same as the German release, though the art on the actual discs is different (though they're all A/B/C it looks like).

The region option at the start does not include the UK/Australia the way FIRST BLOOD and RAMBO II do...which is weird because otherwise the disc is English friendly in terms of menus (and it does have regular English subs). Set is just terrific. Great transfers!
