American Pie Unrated 4-Movie Collection Blu-ray - Blu-ray Forum

As someone who has only seen the first American Pie film and remembering it pretty fondly, would anyone recommend this upcoming collection? Besides the fact that it contains all 4 films, they are only $4.50 each in this set, and the fact that I have none of the films on DVD or Blu-ray, is it worth the blind buy on the 3 sequels?

Any opinions are appreciated!

I've been waiting for this for a while! I was 13 when the first came out, so I was right in these movies' demographic and I definitely have the nostalgia factor going for me. I like the first. I think the second is actually better. The third is enjoyable but not as good as the first two. And American Reunion I found to be much better than it had any right to be. For the price, and if you at least remember liking the first, then I'd day go ahead and get it. I know I will!

That seems like a nice deal. I've seen the first three and enjoyed them for what they are, but haven't gone out of my way to see the fourth. I've also never owned any of these on DVD or BD, so it's tempting to change that. Always hoped there'd be a complete set someday.

Totally agree! I definitely liked the second one much better than the first. American Wedding would have been great if Oz was part of the main cast. Just didn't feel like a complete cast without Chris Klein.

American Reunion is a must if you have any sort nostalgia to the first 3 films. Definitely one of the better sequel films!

Yes, the second one is almost more fun then the original, Wedding is okay but too many missing cast members, and Reunion is fun to see them all again.

I only have 1&4 on Blu, so I will totally upgrade to this set. Probably save some shelf room too.

Well if they are just using the same discs as before and im sure they are then yes all 4 movies feature both versions.

The box says unrated so I would just assume it would be unrated.

Yes, I would recommend picking all of them up. 1 and 4 are my favorites, but 2 and 3 are not too shabby.

Definitely re-watchability on this set.

What spinoffs are you referring to? I wasn't aware there was any.

There were four spin-off films between Wedding and Reunion. Three of them revolve around Stifler's relatives (how many cousins did he have??) and the fourth one is essentially a reimagining of the first film.

This one's a direct sequel to The Naked Mile.

There's one called American Pie Presents: Naked Mile, American Pie Presents: Band Camp, American Pie Presents: Book Of Love & American Pie Presents Beta House. All were straight to video movies.

On the pics it says it contains both versions. Definitely upgrading my dvds love them all

I second this! Very likely they will just reuse the current blu-ray disc into this one set, just like how Universal Studio packaged for Jurassic Park 1-3 set with the same blu-ray discs from the individual packaging.

It was definitely rumored that they're making a 5th installment of the franchise. One report even joked how it should be titled "American Divorce." Haven't heard much ever since 2013 about the next installment. I hope they do with majority of the same cast returning. American Pie is a classic!

Wow, I'm surprised so many spinoffs were produced. I wasn't aware the series was that popular. Did anyone here see any of these and are they worth the time?

I generally liked the first 3 American Pie presents films. At least enough that I own the 3-pack set they released. I never saw the 4th one though. I'd easily buy them on Blu-Ray if they came out with a box set though.

For the longest time I was wondering why a 4-film Blu-Ray set wasn't released in the US for the main series. Ended up biting the bullet and importing the UK set. So it's nice to see that one is finally available here in the states, though I won't be double dipping.
