Default Best Matthew McConnaughey Film

I was watching A Time to Kill tonight for the seventy-fifth time, thinking of what a great film it is, and thought we needed a poll concerning Mr. McConaughey impressive filmography.

I did actually consider it, since there are so many good films there. But I thought that forcing people into choosing a single movie would be more interesting.

I voted on Interstellar, primarily because I think that's the best performance I've seen from him. I found him likable in that movie, and he pulled out some pretty strong emotions.

I think TWOWS is a bit of a better film in a way, but I don't think McConnaughey was in it enough to justify calling it his best film. Same for many of the others I've seen him in. He did great in Dallas Buyer's Club, and I didn't mind him in Sahara (which isn't on the list, WTF?).

Lone Star barely over Dazed and Confused. It desperately needs a BD release.

Stuff like We Are Marshall and Magic Mike should be on the list for people who think he only regained the ability to act in 2013.

No Magic Mike ? While it may have looked like a lightweight film about male strippers from the advertising, it was actually a very good drama about the economic downturn. McConaughey gives what may just have been his best performance.

I voted for Contact because it's my favourite film on the list, even though McConaughey and his plot line are probably the weakest thing about it. I liked Interstellar too, which is very similar in many ways but I prefer Contact.

With Magic Mike, I simply haven't seen it yet, so made an oopsie by passing it over. When it comes to Frailty -- I realized like 2 minutes after I posted the poll that I had forgotten it. I thought, "Aww, crap."

Yeah, I wouldn't have voted for it personally. But I was mad at myself for not including it.
