20th Century Fox Inferno 3D Blu-ray (1953) [Region B Locked / Free]

Inferno was only released on 3D Blu-ray in the UK and USA. The initial UK release from Panamint was Region B locked but it was re-released region free. The locked edition has a blue case with a blue banner, while the region free edition has a clear case with a purple banner. There was also a region free release from Twilight Time in the US. All three releases are now OOP.

Yes my most wanted stereoscopic title (after Lumberjack Rabbit)!

Wow, great surprise! More incentive to get a Region-free player...

I hadn't heard of this movie before seeing this post, I'll definitely be picking this up now.

Smile Saw it when I was 15, now 76

Hi. Been a 3D enthusiast since I was 15 movie (I am now 76 and have over 100 blu ray 3Ds). Inferno was one of the best. Someone please post notice when you learn it's available for pre-order. I have Dial M for Murder, In the Dark, House of Wax, and Creature from the Black Lagoon. Now if they'd just put Kiss Me Kate, Hondo, Fort Ti, and Bwana Devil on blu ray 3D, I'd have all the films I saw in 3D as a teenager.

Thanks for sharing that Phillip999! I've never seen Inferno but have been hoping for it since I always enjoy Robert Ryan!

Here's hoping that we get Kiss Me Kate, Hondo, Fort Ti, and Bwana Devil too - - - and I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for It Came From Outer Space, Revenge of the Creature, I the Jury and all of the other 50s 3D features.

Sadly, I have a feeling that for 3D bluray collectors in the US, having a region free player is going to be a must have. Off the top of my head, quite a few recent or announced 3D blus not available in the US whether or not they are region free, A or B, etc...

Frozen
Ratatouille
Need for Speed
Noah
Maleficient
Beowulf
and now Inferno

I haven't seen anything offical from Disney regarding Maleficent. If it turns out like another Frozen.....

Just ticks me off that we have to import tiles like these where most were made IN the states!!!

I will import Maleficent if it comes to that....but it pisses me off. I'm still hoping another site/country will sell a region free Inferno. Wishful thinking I think but you never know. They would sell more copies if it was region free so......why don't they???

Not just that but with American money too. It's crazy the way the US is treating 3D fans at the moment, no logic whatsoever. For the record I'm from the UK but I feel your pain. I'm used to a lot of titles in general getting Region A only releases in the US, particularly catalogue titles. It's very frustrating having region locked releases.

Its the same issue for UK based 3D bluray collectors we don't get everything you guys get . To be a 3D bluray collector you need to import and have a multi region player.

We have the same bluray player S590 - love it. I looked and I found a place that will give us the same player unlocked but it costs $450. Pretty steep...wish there was a conversion kit.

Amazon UK has Maleficient 3D listed for Sept 22 I think. The US 2D version is Nov 4 I believe. Even if the US had a 3D version announced, considering UK prices so far for me to import from Amazon UK have been equal or better than US new release prices for 3D movies, I'd order the UK version just because I'm impatient when it comes to movies I didn't get to see in the theaters but really wanted to.
