I loved the first segment (first person Resident Evil vibes from the same director that brought us The Head Hunter a few years back), but it was a pretty big drop off after that for me. The two UFO related segments were alright.

I always wait for the disc for these. They are always hit or miss, but overall enjoy the series.

I really liked this one, but I also have really liked most of them. The wraparound was okay but had a kind of weak payoff. The wraparounds usually kinda suck on these though, I think this was better than most. I really liked the first 3, the Resident Evil style story and the skydiving one were actually quite intense and exciting to me.

I've seen people online complaining about how annoying the skydivers were before they got out of the plane, but really, I think most people are just kind of annoying, especially in a group of friends. That's just kind how people are in my experience. No one in that story seemed extra annoying to me.

I didn't care much for the dog lady one, which sucks because I like Justin Long so I was kinda rooting for the one he directed. It was basically a short film remake or reimagining of Tusk. I thought Tusk was okay as a one time watch, but I never thought "I'd like to see a shorter and worse version of that idea."

The last one "Stowaway" was good though. The lead, well, only actor in that segment is an Australian YouTuber and video game writer I knew of from other channels I watch, I didn't know she was an actor. I thought she did a pretty good job and there are some gnarly effects in that one.

Surprised to see more YouTube people also, the Corridor Crew VFX guys were in the wraparound, and their channel is fun to watch effects artists check out good and bad visual effects in recent movies.

It's worthy of a watch for those that enjoy the V/H/S/ movies. Not as good, for me, as 85 but better than 99.

I liked all of the segments in this one. Was a little annoyed at the second one for using too many real film shots instead of found footage, but I understand what they were going for. First segment was cool reminded me of Hotel Inferno or Hardcore Henry. The skydiving segment was your classic VHS, but Stowaway was the potential for VHS. What an awesome segment that felt truly otherworldly. Creepy as hell. Wraparound was very filler material. The ending almost nailed it with a VHS Beguiled feel, but the reveal of the alien up close blew it.

The Justin Long segment is going to be the most controversial. Very goofy comedy heavy segment, but it was like Justin Long doing his own Tusk. I dug it.
