Nice, I've been hoping this one would get a BD release as it's clear from my cruddy vhs rip that there's a highly atmospheric and visually engaging flick in there somewhere.

Surprisingly, much more excited for this than Scream Factory's Halloween Extras announcement.

Love that cover!

After all the speculation, it's finally official. Good news. And yes, Jennifer Runyon is holding up nicely.

Terrific news! Never thought this ultra rare gem would see the light of day on blu ray. Kudos to Scorpion & Kino Lorber films!

What is it with actresses who appear in horror movies? 90% of them are still hot decades later thanks for postin the photo.

Maybe she sold her soul to the devil? Or David Hess?

No wonder Jason was chasing her!!

I was thinking and I really hope Scream Factory aquired New Year's Evil for a Holiday release.
Just think, we could seriously have almost every major 80s Xmas/NY slasher on blu-ray before the end of the year! (Including Terror Train as a New Year's Slasher).

Silent Night, Deadly Night (Anchor Bay)
Christmas Evil (Vinegar Syndrome)
To All A Goodnight (Kino)

Now all we need is New Year's Evil from Scream Factory, and Don't Open Till Christmas from Mondo Macabro!

This one has always been a hard one to review, because the previous transfer by Media has been so incredibly dark. It's difficult to see what's going on in a lot of scenes.

The mask that the killer wears, though, is genuinely creepy.

Well that won't be a problem now, the new transfer looks awesome. Saw it on-demand last year.

Can't wait for this release. Been stuck for years with the Media VHS tape where you can barely make out what's going on, especially during the night scenes. That seems to be a trend for Media...

Blu-Ray is a godsend for these old 80's slashers With this one down all I'm wishing for are Eyes of Laura Mars, Delusion, and The Deadly Intruder, though I doubt the latter two will make it.
