I was more than pissed off, that for the presentation at the AMC sneak preview presentation that a) the theater could only playback in 5.1, and b) for some reason the right hand side surround channel sound was being repurposed to the rear speakers - oh ugh ... glad I liked the movie enough to hopefully hear this a second time in Atmos, or at least in 7.1.

... aaaaaaand ... got my tix to see this again next Monday, in Dolby Cinema - thank you AMC A-List membership perks.

I saw Elton in concert in I think 1971 before he went glitz or glam (whatever you want to call it) and it was AMAZING. He started the show solo and after a few songs the band came out. When he eventually performed Tiny Dancer you could have heard a pin drop during a pause. He owned that arena crowd all night.

I hope this movie captures the early years in his career, and not just everything outrageous that came later.

I have the DMC exclusive on bd, a childhood favorite of mine.

Seen Elton once in 2008 and the wife and I have tickets for 9/17/19. Stoked!

Also, I don't follow a ton of threads but I'm surprised to see the distaste for Bohemian Rhapsody. Did you folks not like the movie or are you not thrilled with the home release quality? I liked them both.

I think it's more how they ruined the story of queen and sanitized Freddy Mercury's life. Also, how much of the movie is fiction. At least that's what I recall reading. I, myself, liked it a whole lot. Both the movie and the 4K presentation.
