Ishin is the first to use Unreal 4 so I'm assuming that's their pipeline now for all titles. I'm sure it's making things faster.

I’m just glad I started playing through the games again. It’s been a couple of months now and I’ve finished 3,4,5 and 0. Now playing through Kiwami. I can’t put them down, I’m just amazed how much time I’m sinking in to them when I told myself I was just going to play through quick for the story but I get sucked in by the substories and mini games every time.

I’ve just got Kiwami 2 and 6 to play through then I can start on Like a Dragon and hopefully be done in time to play this.

We don't know, but I have a hunch that this title might not be open world. They mentioned that this would be shorter and more story-focused compared to Yakuza 8 or Ishin that was announced at the same time.

If it's linear I might be down. Haven't played any Yakuza games because I'm not interested in them enough to tackle a slate of huge open world games.

If thats whats holding you back jump right in. They’re not really what I’d call “open world.” At least not to the extent of an Assassins Creed or Far Cry. More like a wide open space with a linear story and a lot of sub stuff if you want it.

It’s what you make of it but I enjoy finding new side quests/mini games.

No NA physical release is disappointing, but this is supposed to be a short side story, something a little longer than Kaito Files from my understanding. I really like Yakuza, but this being digital only and also having a really packed slate of Fall games, I'm just setting my sights on Infinite Wealth for now. Not to mention, Ishin was not as polished on release as RGG games usually are.

LAD Gaiden will feature a special Demo of Like A Dragon 8 (Infinite Wealth) with a special cutscene which will not appear in the full game.
