I have this combo going. Benq W2700 4K DLP projector with Panasonic 424 4K Blu-ray player.
I'm generally pretty happy with the HDR performance of the projector but after reading that some people suggest trying 4K playback without HDR i'm curious and want to know if i might like it more also. I also watched some 4K UHD titles which did not feature HDR and it looked fantastic. So what do i have to do in the settings of the player and the projector to get a proper HDR-SDR conversion (as intended) without a dark image and / or wrong colors? I can turn off HDR on the projector but on the playerside there are a lot of options regarding colorspace, HDR/SDR playback and so on. There is also a option for HLG. Don't know how that works. So if somebody here knows these devices i would be very thankful to get some tips for the correct setup. Thanks. Last edited by ForceFreak; 07-10-2024 at 06:29 PM. |
