Thumbs up Recommended vendors

When ordering Blu-ray movies for US and Europe we recommend using Amazon. When ordering Asian titles we recommend YesAsia.com, they sell all Hong Kong-, Japan- and Korean titles and they ship worldwide.

YesAsia.com

We have recently started to review Asian- and import titles and we plan to do so more regularly. Here's a list of recent Asian reviews:

Behind the Yellow Line
CJ7
Protege
Infernal Affairs
Infernal Affairs II

I always use http://www.dddhouse.com/v3/index.php for my Asian movies. Never had a problem with them, they are pretty much always cheaper than YesAsia and shipping to Canada usually only takes about a week. I have even got stuff from them faster than stuff I have ordered from Canada which is great and sad at the same time.

http://www.cdjapan.co.jp is also very reliable. Every purchase you make you get "points" and they can be added to future orders.

I would also recommend Amazon JP. Their prices are generally under the normal retail price and I've never had difficulties ordering from them in the past.

I second DDDHouse.com. They've always had the best prices as far as HK/China blurays go.

Hey do you know if Amazon JP ships to the US? I know you can sometimes translate their pages to English (I'm slowly trying to learn Japanese though....slowly, lol) but I haven't signed up to see if they did.

Yes, AmazonJP does ship to the US. If you also look in the top left corner, click the "In English" option and you can set up an account in English.

Ah, thanks for the tip! I knew you could look at the site in English but I wasn't sure if you could fully register that way.

Oh yeah...I'm going to it right now!

Thirding DDDHouse! Although I've only purchased DVD's through them and no Blu-ray disc titles yet.
I was considering ordering The Last Samurai from there with the Dolby TrueHD track.

I bit the bullet and ordered Once Upon a Time in China 1 and 2 today. Not sure if they will split the orders or not since 2 won't be released for a few more days. I live in the NY area so I'll let you guys know how it all works out. I would have preferred Amazon but not available there.

I was very impressed on how quickly Yes.Asia got Vengeance to me. It arrived sooner than a Walmart order that was sent a day earlier. I just ordered Accident and Infernal Affairs, Infernal Affairs II.

Walmart took as long as PlayAsia which took 2 weeks.

I can log-in fine but DDDhouse are going to be losing me to Renchi I am starting to think. Been using them since 2005 and never had a problem with them after many orders but my last two orders are not going as well as they used to. First one took about double the time they normally do to arrive and now my most recent order is not shipping out for no apparent reason. Usually good at getting orders shipped fast but not this time. Renchi can be slow at getting orders shipped but for them it is normal for DDDhouse it isn't so something is going on with them that is concerning me.
