A German photographer hides a dark secret beneath his seemingly normal life in Las Vegas. By day, he appears normal, pursuing his career in erotic photography and maintaining a relationship with his girlfriend. But beneath his polished exterior lies a dark secret—he is a sadistic serial killer who tortures, rapes and murders his victims under the cover of night. Jade, the younger sister of his girlfriend, has always found him unsettling. As she grows more suspicious of his behavior, she begins to uncover his horrifying double life, thrusting her into a nightmare she cannot escape.

Massacre Video proudly presents the definitive edition of Nick Palumbo’s Murder-Set-Pieces, the shocking and uncompromising vision of terror that divided audiences worldwide. Featuring a brand-new 4K restoration from the only known and previously considered lost 35mm element, this definitive release brings Palumbo’s controversial masterpiece to life like never before. Included on this disc are the uncut theatrical version (105 minutes) and the director’s cut (90 minutes), both presented in HD for the first time ever. With a stunning HDR director-approved color grade, this release pulls no punches, delivering the raw brutality and unflinching horror that cemented the film’s place as one of the most notorious entries in extreme cinema.

Wowsers. Didn’t expect this one. Ordered rather rapidly.

Tasteless, trashy, dead kids & un-subtitled ranting in German, all in fantabulous 4K. What a world.

Thank you. I placed a order for the Ultra Limited Graphic Cover (800 copies). I can finally retire the DVD which only included the 91 minute Director's Cut. Has the 105 minute NC-17 theatrical cut ever been available before?

I feel that the way the listing is worded is confusing, at least for me. The listing states director approved HDR colour and then refers to both the theatrical and director’s cut. It later states though that the UHD only includes the theatrical version. Unless I am wrong there will not be HDR on the blu-ray that will have the director’s cut?

I'm not a fan of the film. But I'm happy the uncensored version is finally seeing a legit release after the awful R rated version Lionsgate released.

Didn't realize this has been in pre-order for so long. I ordered the Graphic Cover version in April. I've got the Director's Cut DVD also. Excited for this release.

I love horror films, but **** the director for putting a toddler in a scene with his 'dead' mother, covered in blood and clearly incredibly upset. **** the parents of the kid too.

I won't be supporting this film.

No it hasn't. It's what first premiered theatrically. Then he re-cut the film for home video to tighten it up. Then eventually the producers took control of the movie, cut it to an R rating and sold it to Lionsgate to re-coop their money.

The director is a..., that's for sure. If the old commentary isn't included. It might be worth holding onto the old dvd release.

I remember the controversial promotion, spamming of the film on message forums back in the day. Palumbo claimed it was someone else hired that was posting antagonistic offensive stuff, but I suspect it was Palumbo himself. He had quite an ego then.

I remember when I purchased the DVD several years ago - it took a little effort to track down the 91 minute Director's Cut. Most of the copies floating around were the horribly butchered 83 minute [R] cut. I'll be glad to finally have the fully uncut 105 minute [NC-17] edition - "if" Massacre Video ever releases it.

He may have been telling the truth. I reviewed his films for my website back in the day (he contacted me, sent me screeners) and they were *very* negative reviews, but he was always super cool in our interactions. He sent me a copy of Murder-Set-Pieces for review even after I trashed his movie Nutbag a couple years earlier. And even after two negative reviews, he still publicly said a few nice things about me and my site.

I did detect quite an ego on him, but he was always nice, never nasty to me.

Any ideas on when this might actually release? I've always heard that Massacre has a very, very, very long lead time on their movies and seeing as this has been available to pre-order for 8 months with no release date (that I can see), I have to agree. I want to buy it, but I don't want to have money tied up with something that has no release date.

Probably gonna be a minute yet. Massacre posted this on July 6:

Next to arrive: Hack-o-Lantern, then MBS, a few more BDs, and finally Murder-Set-Pieces. We're at the tail end of our distributor switch and truly appreciate everyone's patience!
