Totally 80's classic. I love Arquette in this and plenty of other great cast members, Laurie Metcalf, Aiden Quinn and of course Madonna in a part that she owned and the whole film works. Quirky and a great time capsule.

Keep an eye out for John Turturro in this film.

Maybe Kino will release MERMAIDS with Cher, Winona Ryder, Christina Ricci, Bob Hoskins!

This is one of those movies that was always on when I was younger, but I never actually watched the whole thing!

Might be worth revisiting now since I'm always game for 80's flicks on blu-ray.

I love it! Some middle school friends and I went to see Desperately Seeking Susan at the theater on the night of release, and I always remember that being a fun time.

"Into the Groove" is my favorite Madonna song of all, and it's featured prominently in the film.

Another title I'm embarrassed to say I haven't seen. Love 80s stuff, though, so this sounds like a pickup for me. Also want to see John Turturro 30 years younger.

i guess i'm in the minority here. i really like this movie and will most likely pick it up the week of release (i rarely pick them up on release day as i'm usually working some weird-ass shift and can't make it anywhere that's open when i get off).

It's good to express yourself, and it's probably vogue to insult the movie, but both of you should get into the groove, open your heart, stop causing a commotion, and cherish this upcoming Blu-ray. I've been burning up to see this movie, and I can now live to tell about a high definition release that will justify my love of the film so that the old DVD can take a bow. Those of you who are on the borderline about this movie should take a holiday and give it a chance.

I had found this in a list of most iconic 80s flms.
Haven't seen it but I'm looking forward too.(especially since I was a Madonna fan at that time)
If only they could bring now "Who's that Girl" too.
