I doubt this one will get a US blu ray release....but would like to be wrong.

It's currently airing on Discovery Family.

I miss the days it aired on cartoon Network, though they never showed all the episodes.

Ya it would be cool to have the smurfs on bluray as with the new series too instead of just dvd.

I'm surprised Warner Archive hasn't done something with this. I wonder if it has to do that they are not straight up owned by Warner like the Hanna Barbera characters?

Warner has all ownership to the show in the US (I don't know if this applies also to Canada and Mexico). UK rights are owned (so far I know) by Arrow Films with Fabulous Films currently holding UK home video rights.

But I agree; with how popular Smurfs are here in America as well, you think Warner would keep releasing more either by retail or through the Archive. Unless they're still in the process of restoring every single episode so they can put them all together in one huge box set (or 1-3 sets) and call it a day.

Yes, the show is available to stream. Max has the first 2 seasons while Tubi has every single season.

With all the HB stuff getting blu ray love there is some hope for this one. But with that being said this is a much longer series then any that have been released. I guess it depends on the price of a full series set vs volume sets.

While I don’t have the actual discs as proof, Madman out in Australia has all nine seasons, plus a S1-S5 Ultimate DVD and a S6-S9 Ultimate DVD. Both Ultimate sets appear to add a disc, though I’m not sure what it is.

You would think they would have have had a complete series on blu ray or even DVD by now. They have had multiple chances with two live action movies and an animated movie.....also another animated movie on the way.

It saddens me that we have had like 4 chances for them to release this one on blu ray(because of theatrical movies) but didn't.
