Here's a clip from Moana 3D, now in theaters, from November 23, 2016.

The water and island scenery in 3D could be something if they push the 3D. I'm considering checking this out if I can find the time, though with Disney's Zootopia, hopefully this will also hit blu ray 3D in all locations and the US again too. Here's hoping for stronger 3D this time also.

If this sticks, Moana 3D would count as 2 Disney animation movies in a row for blu ray 3D after Zootopia 3D in the US, (and the live action Jungle Book 3D). Interesting that it's happening after the successful release of Star Wars VII, likely untying the blu ray 3D Disney home entertainment budget I'm betting.

I have my preorder for the Zavvi steelbook 3D/2D edition but after what I saw yesterday afternoon - I wasn't THAT impressed - I think and can conclude the projector wasn't outputting enough light - it also didn't help that there were a dozen if not more audio drop outs throughout the entire movie - I got a readmission ticket due to a less than stellar presentation

Thanks Dubstar. I missed my chance to see this so far. I went to see UP 3D years ago in theaters, and that was a very mild 3D experience for the most part, but the screen's lack of brightness didn't help either. Thankfully that's no longer an issue with Cinemark theaters, who offer brighter projection during 3D films to compensate for the 3D shades.

Cinemark for a while was selling individual reusable 3D glasses, I still use when I go to REALD screenings, they aren't as dark as the mass produced handed out one's and as a result let in more light. Arclight uses Dolby 3D glasses, so I can't bring or use them.

This is my second time seeing the movie at this location both times in Dolby Atmos, the first screening in 2D: the sound on the big 65 foot widescreen was just okay, the image (via a 4K projector) was fantastic albeit not in 3D. The second time in 3D, average, limited brightness, even better immersive audio despite the sound cutting out left and right - two different screenings, two different viewing impressions.

Saw this in 2D the other night, enjoyed it, but was thinking it would probably have had some good 3D in it. Will be picking up the 3D blu if it comes out here.

Blu-ray.com has Moana 3D Blu-ray release date as March 7, 2017

BestBuy has a 3D pre-order, but their release date states: "Not Yet Announced"

Sounds good. Moana 3D for March 7th, 2017 from Disney of all companies in recent years, to release the blu ray 3D worldwide and in the US also.

This is definitely on my list of blu ray 3D discs to have. It looks like a fun adventure movie with plenty of great scenery for 3D. I wanted to see this in 3D in theaters, but the timing didn't work out during that time.

Heh ... the animation reminds me a bit of "The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker."

Not an exclusive - Amazon hasn't put a Disney release up for pre-order in months, there must be something going on

Doctor Strange, Pinocchio, Fox & the Hound, Pocahontas don't have pre-orders available either - and I'm assuming once Rogue One is announced, that will be the same.
