THE ROOKIE — Starting over isn’t easy, especially for small-town guy John Nolan who, after a life-altering incident, is pursuing his dream of being an LAPD officer. As the force’s oldest rookie, he’s met with skepticism from some higher-ups who see him as just a walking midlife crisis. If he can’t keep up with the young cops and the criminals, he’ll be risking lives including his own. But if he can use his life experience, determination and sense of humor to give him an edge, he may just become a success in this new chapter of his life. The series stars Nathan Fillion as John Nolan, Alyssa Diaz as Angela Lopez, Richard T. Alexi Hawley is writer and executive producer; Mark Gordon, Nathan Fillion, Michelle Chapman and Jon Steinberg are executive producers on the series. Liz Friedlander directed and executive produced the first episode. Entertainment One (eOne) is the lead studio on “The Rookie,” a co-production with ABC Studios.

I saw and I thought is was good. So I will keep watching it. Also nice to see Melissa O'Neil again after Dark Matter's cancelation.

The Pilot was pretty fun to watch but it reminds me all the time of rookie blue

Ehh, not this types of cliché shows Nathan Fillion can do better than this and as for Melissa O'Neil nice to see her back on TV sucks that Dark Matter got cancelled wish it least Dark Matter got some sort of ending but the Stargate creators messed the last season up with plenty of plot holes.

Given it a chance because of Fillion and Melissa O'Neil, not a huge fan of police procedurals but with them it might be enough to get into it.

I just call this show “The Nathan Fillion”. Going to catch the first ep in a few minutes. I’m looking forward to seeing Melissa O’Neil again.

I saw the premiere and thought it was pretty good. I liked that it was more of an ensemble cast and not just focused on the one character. I'm going to keep watching it.

I like that old Chevy. For what is supposed to be a junker the body and chrome looked liked the car was actually taken care of.

Sucks for the people behind this show that 9-1-1 beat them by a couple of weeks on that “guy in an ATM” story

I love Nathan Fillion, but he's not in the show enough. A lot of time is given to the other characters and I don't care for them at all. It's full of cop show clichés, too.

I am not a huge Nathan Fillion fan, but I watched the season opener and the second episode. I have to amid that I am fairly entertained by that show and I'll keep watching it.
